David Silva discusses missed Barcelona transfer

Former Manchester City star David Silva has revealed that FC Barcelona attempted to sign him from Valencia in 2008 following Spain's European Championship victory. According to Silva, the move failed because Valencia refused to sell the player at that time.

Two years later, Valencia's financial difficulties led to the sale of both Silva and David Villa. While Villa joined Barcelona, Silva chose to move to Manchester City in 2010. Silva stated that joining City was the best decision of his career, noting his successful ten-season tenure and the positive relationship he maintained with the fans.
