David Singleton appointed head coach of Dewa United Banten

Dewa United Banten has officially appointed American coach David Singleton for the 2026/27 IBL season. Introduced at the Dewa United Academy on October 2, 2026, Singleton will lead the team with the primary goal of winning the championship.

Singleton, who previously coached Pelita Jaya and led Prawira Bandung to an IBL title in 2023, will be supported by assistant coaches Yurifan Hosen, Andri Malay, and Gustas Maskoliunas. He expressed optimism about the club's investment in both senior and youth player development, noting that the environment is ideal for coaching.

CEO Michael Oliver Wellerz stated that Singleton's competence makes him the right choice to steer the club toward the 2027 title. Singleton aims to build a strong team identity focused on defense, systematic play, and attention to detail, while also seeking to engage closely with the club's supporters.
