David Sousa reaches 100 European football appearances

Brazilian defender David Sousa, a former Botafogo player, has reached a career milestone of 100 appearances in European football. The achievement occurred during Casa Pia’s 2-1 away victory against Estoril.

Sousa built his European career primarily in Belgium before moving to Portugal. His journey includes 18 matches with Cercle Brugge and 45 appearances for RWD Molenbeek (now RWDM Brussels). In his second season with Casa Pia, he has played 37 matches and scored two goals.

Reflecting on the milestone, Sousa expressed happiness regarding his early departure from Brazil to pursue opportunities abroad, noting his successful periods in both Belgium and Portugal.
