Davide Ancelotti appointed head coach of Lille's LOSC

Italian coach Davide Ancelotti, 36, has reached an agreement to become the new manager of Ligue 1 side Lille OSC, succeeding Bruno Genesio. Ancelotti, previously an assistant to his father Carlo at clubs such as Real Madrid and to the Brazil national team, also spent a brief spell as head coach of Botafogo in Brazil. The club confirmed that he will be presented to the press early next week, with a press conference scheduled for Monday at the Domaine de Luchin. Lille aims to maintain its recent stability in the French league and continue competing in the UEFA Champions League, and sees Ancelotti's experience in top‑level European environments as a fit for its ambitions.

The appointment follows the formal termination of Genesio's two‑year contract and is part of a broader plan by Lille chairman Olivier Létang to refresh the technical staff while preserving the team's competitive trajectory.
