Davide Ballardini in talks to manage Gençlerbirliği

Davide Ballardini is reportedly in talks to manage Gençlerbirliği in the Turkish Süper Lig. Following his departure from Avellino, the experienced Italian coach has entered exploratory discussions with the Ankara-based club.

Gençlerbirliği is seeking a new manager after officially parting ways with Metin Diyadin on October 6. The club currently sits in thirteenth place in the league standings, having recorded two wins, one draw, and three losses in their first six matches.

While Ballardini had previously expressed a desire to remain in Italy, this potential move would represent a significant international opportunity for the former Sassuolo manager, whose career has been primarily centered in Serie A and Serie B.
