Davide Bianchini wins Italian Protagonist 7.50 championship in Salò

Davide Bianchini has secured his third Italian Protagonist 7.50 class title at the 28th edition of the championship held in Salò. Sailing the boat ‘L’Ombra del Vento’ alongside Marco De Maldè and Roberto De Maldè, Bianchini dominated the competition by winning six out of the eight regattas held between September 18 and 20.

L’Ombra del Vento finished the championship with an eleven-point lead over the runner-up. The podium was completed by two crews from the Società Canottieri Garda Salò, with Mauro Spagnoli’s ‘General Lee’ taking second place, narrowly beating Lorenza Mariani’s ‘Casper’ by just two points. Mariani was also awarded the Fair Play Prize for her sportsmanship during the event.

The regatta, which featured nineteen boats, was organized by the Società Canottieri Garda and took place in the Gulf of Salò. The competition faced varying wind conditions, ranging from 5 to 7 knots, throughout the weekend.
