Davide Gazzola wins bronze at Beach Sprint European Championships

At the Beach Sprint European Championships held in La Línea de la Concepción, Spain, Italian athlete Davide Gazzola secured a bronze medal in the Under 19 men's single category. After a semifinal loss to Spain's Torres Montoro, Gazzola defeated Hungary's Moor in the third-place final.

Other Italian performances included Maria Elena Zerboni, who advanced to the quarterfinals in the senior women's single after defeating Germany's Sophie Leupold. In the senior mixed double, Federica Cesarini and Federico Ceccarino reached the round of 16 but faced scheduling delays due to a German appeal.

In the Under 19 categories, Silvia Messina and the mixed double pair of Giorgia Cassina and Federico Andrei Munteanu were eliminated. In the senior men's single, Gabriele Loconsole was narrowly eliminated in the round of 16, losing to Lithuania's Zygimantas Galisanskis by just four hundredths of a second.
