Davide Stella won the third stage of the 2026 Tour de l'Avenir, securing a victory in a sprint finish following a grueling 230.9-kilometer route from Vierzon to Saint-Vallier. The win is particularly notable as it comes shortly after the announcement of Stella's upcoming professional contract with UAE Team Emirates, where he is set to join the WorldTour squad starting in 2027.

Despite breakaway attempts by riders such as Timothée Coudière-Cantin and Matthew Dodd, the peloton maintained control to set up a compact finish. Following Stella, Italian rider Thomas Capra took second place for the second consecutive day, while Poland's Dawid Lewandowski finished third. The Italian contingent showed significant strength, with four riders placing in the top nine.

In the general classification, Kasper Haugland of Decathlon CMA CGM maintains the overall lead heading into the mountain stages.
