Davido discusses potential joint tour with Wizkid

Afrobeats artist Davido has expressed confidence that a joint world tour with fellow Nigerian musician Wizkid would result in sold-out venues. During an appearance on the IONWANNATALK show, Davido stated that he would request $500,000 per performance if such a tour were to occur.

While optimistic about touring, Davido expressed uncertainty regarding whether a collaborative song between the two would be a commercial success, citing the previous collaboration between D’banj and 2Baba as a cautionary example. He noted that he and Wizkid have not recorded music together in approximately 10 years, attributing this gap to not being in the same mental space rather than an inability to work together.

The singer also addressed their long-standing rivalry, which has included public social media confrontations over the years. Davido remarked on the importance of maturity in resolving past disagreements, stating that he has moved past previous feelings toward his contemporary.
