Davido Announces Sixth Album ORIADÉ for July 31 2026 Release, Marking 15‑Year Milestone
Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido has announced his sixth studio album, ORIADÉ, slated for release on 31 July 2026. The album title combines the Yoruba words “ori” (head or destiny) and “adé” (crown), reflecting themes of purpose, destiny and royalty. It coincides with the 15th anniversary of Davido’s music career, which began with the breakout single “Dami Duro” in 2012.
The lead single “I Know Who I Be,” released in June 2026, previews a return to the energetic Afrobeats sound that first defined his work. ORIADÉ will contain 13 tracks, making it the shortest full‑length project of his career. Previous albums include Omo Baba Olowo (2012), A Good Time (2019), A Better Time (2020), Timeless (2023) and 5ive (2025).
Davido highlighted the album as a personal celebration and a push to elevate African music globally. The announcement follows a busy year in which he debuted at Coachella and collaborated on the FIFA World Cup 2026 soundtrack “No Place Like Home” with Major Lazer and Nelly Furtado.
