Davido, Wizkid, and Burna Boy lead 2026 Headies nominations

Organisers of the 18th Headies Awards have released the nomination list for the 2026 ceremony, which is scheduled to take place in Canada. Leading the nominations are prominent Nigerian artists Davido, Wizkid, and Burna Boy.

Davido and Omah Lay’s ‘With You’ received nominations for Song of the Year, Afrobeats Single of the Year, Best Recording of the Year, Best Headies Collaboration, and Viewers’ Choice. Wizkid is nominated for Song of the Year and Afrobeats Single of the Year for ‘MMS’ and ‘Jogodo’, alongside Asake, as well as for his album ‘Morayo’ in the Afrobeats Album of the Year category. Burna Boy is in contention for Best Male Artiste, Afrobeats Album of the Year for ‘No Sign of Weakness’, and Afrobeats Single of the Year for ‘Bundle by Bundle’.

Other notable nominees include Ayra Starr, Asake, Rema, and emerging artists such as Fido, Fola, Llona, Mavo, and Shoday in the Next Rated category.
