David’s Bridal appoints Kathy Cherian as CFO

David’s Bridal has appointed Kathy Cherian as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately. Cherian joins the Pennsylvania-based bridal retailer following a tenure as CFO at Magnolia and a 12-year career at Nike, where she held various leadership roles including CFO of Nike Canada.

In her new role, Cherian will oversee the company’s global finance organization. Her responsibilities include supporting the scaling of David’s Bridal’s technology-enabled ecosystem, which encompasses AI-powered commerce, B2B marketplaces, and new revenue streams.

Cherian stated that her priority is to ensure the finance function evolves alongside the business by focusing on strong financial fundamentals and turning data into actionable insights. She aims to integrate finance into early-stage strategic decision-making rather than acting as a post-decision evaluator.
