Davina Karamoy's Hajj pilgrimage stalled by Hanania Travel legal case

Indonesian actress Davina Karamoy and her mother are facing uncertainty regarding their pilgrimage to Mecca after Hanania Travel, the agency handling their Haji Plus program, became embroiled in a legal case involving alleged fraud.

According to Karamoy’s legal counsel, Yulius Irawansyah, the pair had paid a combined down payment of USD 10,000 (approximately Rp178 million) toward a total cost of USD 17,000 per person. While the legal issues surrounding the travel agency have halted their departure, the actress’s legal team stated they have not yet filed a formal report for losses.

Instead, the family is hoping for a resolution that allows the funds to be transferred to a different travel provider so their religious obligations can still be fulfilled. The legal proceedings regarding Hanania Travel are currently being handled by the Polda Metro Jaya police force.
