Davis Alexander overcomes injury scare in Alouettes loss to Blue Bombers

Montreal Alouettes quarterback Davis Alexander overcame an injury scare during a 44-28 loss to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Alexander was tackled awkwardly in the third quarter, causing him to remain on the turf for a period of time. After receiving treatment for his lower right leg, he returned to the game without missing a snap, though he appeared to be playing with a minor limp.

Despite the loss, the Alouettes (9-1) remain in a strong position to clinch a playoff berth. A victory over Winnipeg, combined with specific results from the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Ottawa RedBlacks, could secure their postseason spot and a home playoff game. Alexander continues a high-performing season, currently on pace for one of the best passing seasons in CFL history.
