Davis Cup: Argentina to host Turkey in Neuquén playoffs

Argentina and Turkey are set to compete in the Davis Cup World Group I playoffs on September 19 and 20 at the Ruca Che Stadium in Neuquén, Argentina. This event marks the first time the competition arrives in Patagonia.

Argentina's captain, Javier Frana, noted that the team is physically and mentally strong. The Argentine roster includes Francisco Cerúndolo, Thiago Tirante, Mariano Navone, and doubles specialist Guido Andreozzi. The venue has been prepared with a fast GreenSet indoor surface to assist local players transitioning from hard courts.

Turkey has confirmed its five-player squad, led by captain Erhan Oral. The visiting team includes Mert Alkaya, Yanki Erel, Tuncay Duran, Arda Azkara, and Kaan Isik Kosaner. Alkaya and Erel are expected to be the primary contenders in singles matches. Tickets for the 3,000-capacity venue sold out within 30 minutes.
