DAVO Bieren to close Zwolle tasting room after six years

DAVO Bieren has announced it will close its tasting room located at Grote Kerkplein in Zwolle after six years of operation. The Deventer-based brewery opened the location in 2020, partially supported by a crowdfunding campaign during the pandemic.

The brewery stated that the decision was made to allow the company to focus more on brewing and its three other hospitality locations that are performing better. The Zwolle tasting room will remain open to the public until the end of October. After that, the location may only be used for private groups or closed meetings until a new operator is found. DAVO is currently seeking a new party to take over the site to ensure the building maintains its hospitality function.
