DaVon Hamilton secures Jaguars win with unlikely long snapping performance

Jacksonville Jaguars defensive tackle DaVon Hamilton emerged as an unlikely hero during a victory against the Philadelphia Eagles in London. Following an injury to All-Pro long snapper Ross Matiscik early in the game, the 335-pound Hamilton stepped in to handle snapping duties.

While Hamilton struggled with some early snaps, he successfully executed a critical long snap on the final play of the game. This allowed Cam Little to convert a 57-yard field goal, securing a 19-17 win for the Jaguars. Coach Liam Coen praised Hamilton’s performance, noting his ability to deliver when required.

Hamilton, a former Ohio State player drafted by the Jaguars in 2020, has primarily served as a nose tackle. The team has since brought in veteran long snapper Jacob Bobenmoyer to provide more stability at the position moving forward.
