Dawid Kacprzyk denied residency transfer in Małopolska

Dawid Kacprzyk, an anesthesiology resident involved in a previous controversy at Warsaw Southern Hospital, is struggling to find a facility to complete his specialization in the Małopolska region.

Kacprzyk reportedly informed several hospital directors that he had received permission to continue his training in Małopolska. However, the Voivode of Małopolska, Krzysztof Klęczar, has denied this, stating that he personally rejected the application. Under current regulations, a resident transferring between provinces requires approval from the hospital, the provincial consultant, and the Voivode.

In Zakopane, Regina Tokarz, director of the County Hospital, confirmed she declined his application. While acknowledging his controversial past, she clarified that the decision was based on formal reasons, noting the hospital does not currently require a post-residency anesthesiologist. She expressed hope that other hospitals in the region might still hire him, given the high demand for anesthesiologists.
