Dawid Kacprzyk faces scrutiny over alleged political patronage

Investigations into Dawid Kacprzyk, a 28-year-old physician and Civic Coalition (KO) councilor, have revealed potential political patronage involving Senator Agnieszka Gorgoń-Komor and her husband, Klaudiusz Komor, the Vice President of the Supreme Medical Chamber (NIL).

Reports indicate that the Komors allegedly supported Kacprzyk’s professional and public career, including facilitating media appearances, scientific collaborations, and attempts to integrate him into medical self-government activities. While Klaudiusz Komor confirmed providing medical consultations to support younger doctors, he has denied certain claims regarding media recommendations.

Kacprzyk, who lacks a medical specialization, has faced scrutiny for his roles as a coordinator at the Southern Hospital in Warsaw and as a deputy coordinator at the Bródno Hospital in Mazovia. The controversy also involves ongoing investigations into irregularities at the Southern Hospital, though the prosecutor's office has yet to summon Kacprzyk for questioning.
