Polish singer Dawid Podsiadło rallies fans to cheer Maja Chwalińska at Roland Garros final

Polish pop star Dawid Podsiadło publicly wished tennis player Maja Chwalińska good luck before her Roland Garros women’s final, where she was ultimately beaten 6‑3, 6‑2 by Mirra Andrèyeva. In a video message he promised to sing for her and recalled a family connection – his aunt, a PE teacher, once evaluated her first coach.

During the opening show of Podsiadło’s "Obrotowy Tour 2026" at Stadion Śląski in Chorzów on 6 June, about 100 000 spectators joined him in singing "Sto lat" to the athlete, echoing his earlier pledge. The singer also noted that a new album is nearly finished and highlighted the joint hometown of Dąbrowa Górnicza shared by both stars.

Podsiadło’s gesture linked music and sport, drawing nationwide attention to Chwalińska’s achievement despite the loss.
