Dawlish prepares for community carnival week

Volunteers are preparing for the Dawlish Celebrates Carnival, which is scheduled to begin on Saturday, August 15. The event features a week of community activities, including a Raft Race, a Children's Activity Day in Manor Gardens, a Pub Challenge, and a Duck Race.

The festivities will conclude with a Carnival Parade on Friday, August 21. The theme for the 2026 carnival is ‘Once Upon a Time’. Organizers noted that while recent construction work by South West Water has concluded, some areas of the Lawn remain restricted as new grass is established.
