Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV delayed to December 3

KING Art Games and Deep Silver have announced that the release of Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV has been rescheduled from September 17, 2026, to December 3, 2026. The delay is intended to allow the development team to refine the game, optimize performance, fix bugs, and incorporate feedback received from recent community playtests.

Creative Director Jan Theysen stated that the additional time will ensure the highest possible quality for players from day one. To reward early supporters, players who purchase the Commander Edition will receive three days of early access starting November 30, 2026.

The studio also released an updated Year One roadmap. Following the launch, players can expect free updates including the return of Crusade mode, new maps, new modes, new Commanders, and a mission editor. Two major story expansions are also planned to expand the conflict on Kronus and introduce a new playable faction.
