Dawn Richard Unveils Album 'Creole Culture' Set for October 9 Release

American singer‑songwriter Dawn Richard announced her new solo album Creole Culture, scheduled for release on October 9 2026 through Merge Records. The record completes a trilogy that began with 2019’s New Breed and continued with 2021’s Second Line: An Electro Revival.

The album’s lead single “enough” was released alongside a press statement in which Richard described the project as a love letter to New Orleans, saying the city’s culture can be “progressive, global, pop‑culture” while staying authentic.

Creole Culture features a range of collaborators, including Big Freedia on the opening track, Anjelika “Jelly” Joseph, Frank Richard of Chocolate Milk, Tarriona “Tank” Ball, and Durand Bernarr.

Richard will support the album with a U.S. tour beginning August 8 in Chicago, followed by shows in New Orleans, New York, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.
