Dax begins city center street and network renovations
The Grand Dax and the City of Dax are launching renovation works for Rue Saint-Pierre, Rue Sully, and Rue de l’Évêché starting August 24, 2026. This initiative is part of a broader program to rehabilitate the city center of Dax.
The first phase involves upgrading wet networks, including drinking water, wastewater, and rainwater pipes, with a budget of €420,000. Work on the Rue Saint-Pierre section between Rue des Fusillés and Place Saint-Pierre is scheduled through late October 2026. Subsequent phases will address pipes between Rue des Fusillés and Rue Cazade in late 2026, followed by the networks between Rue Cazade and Rue de l’Évêché.
The project is expected to continue through the summer of 2027, though the timeline remains subject to weather conditions and potential archaeological discoveries.
