ASML raises guidance on strong AI demand and anticipates capacity shortages

ASML, the Dutch semiconductor equipment manufacturer, has reported strong third-quarter results and raised its financial guidance for the third time this year. The company cited robust demand driven by the global expansion of artificial intelligence infrastructure as a key growth factor.

ASML expects third-quarter revenue to reach between 11 and 12 billion euros, with gross margins between 55 and 57 percent. The company also anticipates significant capacity constraints for its Low-NA EUV machines in 2027 and 2028 due to high demand.

Major industry players are preparing for the next generation of lithography. Samsung plans to introduce ASML’s High-NA technology for large-scale DRAM production in 2028, while TSMC has confirmed it will adopt the technology for advanced node production starting in 2030.
