US markets hit records as AI stocks surge and oil prices decline FAST-MOVING

Global financial markets experienced significant movement driven by advancements in artificial intelligence and shifting geopolitical tensions. In the United States, the Nasdaq Composite reached a record high of 27,122.09, supported by a surge in semiconductor and technology stocks. Notably, AMD's market capitalization surpassed $1 trillion for the first time, while Intel and Meta Platforms also saw substantial gains. The S&P 500 rose 1.49% to 7,764.70.

Energy markets saw a decline in prices, with Brent crude falling toward the $100 per barrel mark. This downward trend in oil prices, alongside a drop in US 10-year Treasury yields below 5%, provided relief to equity markets and helped temper inflation concerns. The decline in energy costs is partially attributed to diplomatic optimism; US President Donald Trump expressed openness to meeting Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian during the UN General Assembly, raising hopes for eased tensions in the Middle East and more stable oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz.

In Europe, economic outlooks remain mixed. While international investors show interest in the region, particularly Germany, the Bundesbank warned that German inflation may remain elevated due to energy costs and upcoming healthcare reforms. Meanwhile, Asian markets generally trended higher following positive cues from Wall Street.
