DaxAI Robotics unveils Qiji quadruped robots in Beijing

At the World Robot Conference in Beijing, DaxAI Robotics introduced the Qiji series, a new line of robotic quadrupeds. The base X1 model features a 300 kg capacity and speeds of 7–10 km/h, priced at approximately 289,000 Yuan (37,000 Euro). An advanced XS version can deploy small wheels to reach speeds of up to 40 km/h with a 100 km range, with expected pricing between 40,000 and 50,000 Euro. DaxAI Robotics plans to begin mass production this year, with deliveries expected in 2026 via a retail agreement with JD.com.

Parallel developments in humanoid robotics are also accelerating. During the World Humanoid Robot Games in China, robots competed in household tasks, highlighting the industry's shift toward domestic utility. Robotics expert Jan Peters of TU Darmstadt noted that while technical capabilities have grown immensely, the most significant trend is the massive reduction in cost; humanoid robots that previously cost nearly two million Euro can now be acquired for less than the price of a small car. China aims to integrate intelligent systems into all areas of life by 2035.
