Dayann Methalie completes transfer from Toulouse to Sunderland

Dayann Methalie has officially completed his transfer from Toulouse FC to Sunderland AFC. The deal follows several days of uncertainty regarding a medical examination that initially stalled the move due to a detected back injury.

To resolve the impasse, the clubs reached a contractual compromise involving protection clauses for Sunderland. The transfer fee is reported to be approximately 28 million euros, plus an additional 2 to 5 million euros in potential bonuses. This transaction represents the second-largest transfer in Sunderland's history.

The 20-year-old French left-back, who has earned four caps for the national team, joins a Sunderland squad that features several other French players and French-speaking internationals.
