Daylight saving time transition scheduled for October 2026

The transition from summer time to winter time is scheduled for the early hours of Saturday, October 24, 2026. At that time, clocks will be set back by one hour.

While the European Commission proposed a directive in September 2018 to abolish seasonal time changes across the EU, no final decision or implementation timetable has been reached. The Council has not yet approved a position on the proposal, which would require a special majority to proceed.
