Daylight saving time transition scheduled for October 2026

The transition from daylight saving time to winter time in 2026 is scheduled to occur on the early morning of Sunday, October 25. At 04:00, clocks will be set back one hour to 03:00, marking the end of the summer time period.

While most modern electronic devices such as smartphones, tablets, and smartwatches adjust automatically, analog clocks, alarms, and certain household appliances or car systems may require manual adjustment.

Discussions regarding the abolition of seasonal time changes within the European Union remain ongoing. Although the European Commission proposed ending the biannual clock changes in 2018 and the European Parliament supported the move, no final decision has been reached. Consequently, EU member states continue to follow the current system of switching to summer time on the last Sunday of March and returning to winter time on the last Sunday of October.
