DayOne secures RM15 billion for Johor data centre project
A consortium of seven lenders has arranged an expanded multi-currency financing of RM15 billion (US$3.7 billion) for DayOne to support the development of its data centre platform in Johor, Malaysia. The financing includes a US$2.4 billion offshore term loan facility and a RM5.5 billion Murabahah facility. Combined with previous financing secured in 2025, the total platform now stands at RM30 billion.
The lending group includes CIMB, Credit Agricole CIB, DBS, Maybank, OCBC, Standard Chartered, and UOB, acting as mandated lead arrangers, bookrunners, and joint co-ordinators. The project aims to reinforce Malaysia’s position as a regional digital infrastructure hub, driven by rising demand for cloud computing and artificial intelligence.
Separately, Citibank Singapore has partnered with Air 7 Asia to offer Citigold Private Client customers access to private jet charter services. This collaboration provides clients with preferred rates and a dedicated aviation concierge for regional and international travel.
