Dayton and Louisville volleyball prepare for 2026 season openers

The University of Dayton and the University of Louisville are preparing for upcoming volleyball matches as part of their 2026 season openers.

Dayton will host the Flyer Invitational from August 28-29, featuring matchups against Marquette, Santa Clara, and Eastern Illinois. Following the invitational, the Flyers are scheduled to travel to Louisville to face the No. 7 ranked Cardinals on August 31. Dayton enters the season as the top selection in the Atlantic 10 Preseason Poll.

Louisville, ranked No. 7 in the AVCA/Taraflex Preseason Poll, will host a home slate that includes a match against No. 16 Indiana on August 28 and the Dayton match on August 31. The Cardinals recently competed in the Jeep AVCA First Serve, where they secured a victory against No. 8 Texas A&M before falling to No. 6 Wisconsin.
