DAZN and LiveMode TV partner for Portuguese football rights

DAZN and LiveMode TV have entered a partnership to expand football broadcasting reach in Portugal. Under the agreement, LiveMode TV will stream one match per matchday from both the English Premier League and the UEFA Champions League for free on its YouTube channel.

These free broadcasts will run alongside DAZN’s comprehensive coverage, which includes all 380 Premier League fixtures per season and the majority of UEFA Champions League matches. The strategy aims to use LiveMode TV’s free-to-air digital platform to attract casual viewers and subsequently drive subscriptions to DAZN’s paid service. LiveMode TV’s Champions League coverage will primarily focus on the early 17:45 kick-offs.

In a separate market development, rival broadcaster Sport TV has launched an OTT subscription service targeting Spain. The service, priced at €34.99 per month, offers coverage of Portugal’s top two domestic divisions, Liga Portugal Betclic and Liga Portugal Meu Super.
