DB Museum announces 1980s nostalgic special train excursion

The DB Museum Koblenz-Lützel has announced a special nostalgic InterCity excursion scheduled for October 24, 2026. The trip will travel from Bruchsal and Mühlacker toward Lake Constance, specifically Friedrichshafen and Lindau.

The excursion was originally planned for September 19, 2026, but was rescheduled by Deutsche Bahn. The special train will feature a Class 103 electric locomotive, a model that defined German InterCity traffic starting in the 1970s. The train will include carriages in authentic 1980s colors, along with a bar and dining car. All proceeds from the trip are intended to support the historical vehicles of the Koblenz railway museum.
