DBS Bank to Offer 1‑Gram Tokenized Gold to Singapore Retail Investors

Singapore’s largest bank, DBS Group, announced that it will launch a retail tokenized gold product in the second half of 2026. The DBS Physical Gold Tokens will represent one gram of physical gold stored in a Singapore vault, with each token priced at roughly S$200 (about $150 USD). Customers will be able to buy, sell, and hold the tokens via the digibank mobile app, and the bank may later list the tokens on its DBS Digital Exchange for institutional investors. The move follows OCBC’s recent GOLDX fund launch and reflects a broader push to bring traditional assets onto blockchain platforms, aiming to lower entry barriers for everyday investors. Risks include gold price volatility, smart‑contract vulnerabilities and regulatory changes.
