DC Comics captures over 45% of comic store marketshare

DC Comics captured 45.53% of the direct comic store marketshare during the week of September 15–21, 2026. The publisher dominated the weekly top ten bestsellers, securing six of the top ten spots.

Marvel Comics followed with 31.49% marketshare, while Image Comics held third place with 12.76%. Other publishers included IDW, Dynamite, Boom, and Dark Horse, each capturing smaller percentages of the market.

In terms of unit sales, Absolute Cassandra Cain #1 led the market. However, DNX #1 generated higher total revenue due to its higher cover price of $5.99 compared to $4.99 for Absolute Cassandra Cain.
