DC Comics expands regional presence through Mexican retail campaign and Brazilian comic collection

Warner Bros. is launching the ‘DC Super-Villains’ multi-platform campaign in Mexico this October. The initiative features themed shopping experiences, special activities, and a wide range of products inspired by iconic characters such as The Joker, Harley Quinn, Catwoman, and Poison Ivy.

Major retailers including Liverpool, Juguetron, Mumuso, Toys “R” Us, and Walmart are participating. The campaign includes exclusive products, themed displays, and an Escape Room. Specific locations in Mexico, such as Liverpool stores in Insurgentes, Satélite, and Perisur, will host various collections ranging from toys and collectibles to fashion and home goods.

In Brazil, Panini will release a special collection titled ‘Heróis DC: Do Brasil para o Mundo’ in December. This volume gathers four adventures produced by Brazilian comic book artists for the international ‘O Mundo’ collection. The publication features work by Brazilian writers and artists, including Carlos Estefan, Felipe Castilho, Pedro Mauro, and Tainan Rocha, showcasing local interpretations of characters like Batman, Superman, and Supergirl.
