DC film reaches ₹70 crore worldwide gross in eight days
The film DC, marking the acting debut of director Lokesh Kanagaraj alongside Wamiqa Gabbi, has demonstrated strong box office performance. In its first week, the film earned an estimated Rs 47.25 crore gross in India, showing steady growth through positive word of mouth rather than relying solely on opening day numbers.
By its eighth day, the film’s worldwide gross surpassed ₹70 crore. Despite a significant reduction in show counts—dropping from 5,685 on Day 7 to 2,390 on Day 8 due to new theatrical competition—the film maintained a strong hold. In India, the eight-day tracked gross reached approximately ₹48 crore, with actual estimates near ₹50 crore. The film is currently positioned to potentially reach the ₹100 crore worldwide gross milestone.
