D.C. region faces freeze warnings and frost advisories

The Washington, D.C. region is facing its coldest morning of the season, with the National Weather Service issuing frost advisories and freeze warnings across parts of Maryland and Virginia.

A frost advisory has been issued for portions of northwest Montgomery and Howard counties in Maryland, as well as parts of Northern Virginia including eastern Loudoun, Fauquier, and northwestern Prince William counties. In these areas, temperatures are expected to reach approximately 33 degrees.

Further west and north, a freeze warning covers the Shenandoah Valley and parts of western and northern Maryland, including Frederick, Carroll, and Washington counties. Temperatures in these locations may drop into the upper 20s or low 30s. Officials warn that these conditions could damage sensitive vegetation and unprotected outdoor plumbing.
