DC Studios advances new series Lanterns and Gorilla Grodd

DC Studios is advancing several new series within its expanding cinematic universe. The upcoming series ‘Lanterns’ features a new poster highlighting the character Guy Gardner, played by Nathan Fillion. The show follows intergalactic police officers John Stewart and Hal Jordan as they investigate a murder mystery on Earth. The production is a collaboration between HBO, Warner Bros. Television, and DC Studios, with executive production by James Gunn and Peter Safran.

Simultaneously, production is underway in Atlanta for ‘The People Vs. Gorilla Grodd’. This series will utilize a mockumentary format, similar to ‘The Office’, consisting of eight half-hour episodes. The plot centers on journalist Jimmy Olsen investigating whether the superintelligent Gorilla Grodd was wrongfully convicted of murdering his father. The cast includes Jimmy Tatro as Grodd, alongside returning actors such as Beck Bennett, Mikaela Hoover, and Wendell Pierce.
