DC Studios' 'Clayface' Test Screenings and New Trailer Announced

DC Studios is holding a second test screening of its upcoming horror‑thriller Clayface at the Warner Bros. lot in Burbank, California. The first screening drew positive audience reactions, prompting A/B‑testing of two versions as the film moves toward its scheduled worldwide release on October 23, 2026.

A second official trailer was also released, but only before theatrical showings of Supergirl, keeping it off YouTube and social media. The new preview adds fresh footage of Tom Rhys Harries as Matt Hagen beginning his transformation into the titular monster and confirms that Batman will not appear in the film. Director James Watkins and producer James Gunn discussed the project, noting that screenwriter Mike Flanagan originally pitched the body‑horror concept to DC.

The film stars Harries alongside Naomi Ackie, Max Minghella, Eddie Marsan and others, and is positioned as a standalone DCU entry focused on identity loss, toxic love and unchecked scientific ambition.
