DC Studios confirms The Batman Part II filming will resume

DC Studios co-head Peter Safran has confirmed that filming for ‘The Batman Part II’ will resume, addressing concerns following a production pause that began on October 5. The hiatus was initiated to allow director Matt Reeves to attend to a family matter.

Despite recent industry shifts, including the acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery by Skydance, Safran assured that there is no scenario in which the sequel will not restart. He described the footage captured so far as ‘absolutely fantastic’ and expressed full confidence in Reeves’ direction.

The sequel, starring Robert Pattinson, is currently scheduled for release on February 18, 2028. This follows the announcement that the animated project ‘Dynamic Duo’ is slated for September 22, 2028.
