DC Studios releases 'Clayface' trailer for new Batman villain film

DC Studios unveiled the official trailer for "Clayface" ahead of the 2026 San Diego Comic‑Con. The horror‑thriller, directed by James Watkins, follows Matt Hagen, a struggling actor who becomes the shape‑shifting Batman villain after a disfiguring incident. Tom Rhys Harries portrays Hagen/Clayface, with Naomi Ackie, David Dencik, Max Minghella and Eddie Marsan among the supporting cast.

The film is part of Matt Reeves' Batman universe, positioned between the 2022 "The Batman" and the planned "The Batman Part II" slated for 2028. It is produced by Matt Reeves, Lynn Harris, James Gunn and Peter Safran, with Warner Bros. Pictures set to release the movie in theaters in late October 2026.
