DC Studios releases final trailer for horror film Clayface

DC Studios and Warner Bros. Pictures have released the final trailer for ‘Clayface’, a horror-thriller set within the new DC Universe. Directed by James Watkins and written by Mike Flanagan and Hossein Amini, the film departs from traditional superhero narratives to embrace the body horror genre.

The story follows Matt Hagen (played by Tom Rhys Harries), a rising Hollywood star in Gotham who is brutally disfigured by a crime boss. In a desperate attempt to restore his appearance, Hagen undergoes an experimental procedure that leads to a grotesque physical and psychological transformation, turning him into the iconic villain known as Clayface.

The film is slated for a theatrical release in late October 2026, with specific dates including October 21, 22, or 23 depending on the region. The production features an ensemble cast including Naomi Ackie, David Dencik, Max Minghella, and Eddie Marsan. The trailer emphasizes practical effects and organic mutations, though it intentionally obscures the character's final visual form to maintain suspense.
