DC Studios' new superhero movie Supergirl, directed by Craig Gillespie and starring Milly Alcock as Kara Zor‑El, will open in theaters and IMAX on June 26, 2026 in North America, with an international rollout beginning June 24, 2026. The film is produced by Peter Safran and James Gunn and will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures.

A promotional detail highlighted by Alcock reveals that the heroine's cape incorporates about 16 metres of fabric salvaged from Christopher Reeve’s original Superman costume, providing a tangible tribute to the classic 1978 film.
