DC Studios’ ‘The Brave and the Bold’ may enter production by late 2027

Reports suggest that the upcoming DC Universe film, ‘The Brave and the Bold’, may enter production by late 2027. While DC Studios has not officially confirmed this timeline, industry rumors and reports from outlets such as ComicBookMovie indicate that the project is moving forward as part of the new cinematic universe managed by James Gunn and Peter Safran.

Unlike previous standalone Batman iterations, this film will be integrated into the broader DCU continuity. The narrative is expected to focus on the relationship between Bruce Wayne and his son, Damian Wayne, a character trained by assassins who was previously unaware of his father’s identity.

There remains uncertainty regarding the director of the project. While Andy Muschietti has been associated with DC projects, it is currently unclear if he will helm this specific film or if James Gunn will take a more direct role. Film journalist Jeff Sneider has noted that the project may be further along in development than previously anticipated.
