DC Studios unveils new poster for horror film Clayface

DC Studios has released a new poster for Clayface, an upcoming R-rated body-horror film scheduled for theatrical release on October 23, 2026. The artwork depicts Tom Rhys Harries as Matt Hagen, with facial features appearing to dissolve into a grotesque, red, clay-like substance, accompanied by the tagline: “Look fear in the face.”

Directed by James Watkins, the film features a screenplay co-written by Mike Flanagan and Hossein Amini. DC Studios head James Gunn has characterized the project as pure psychological body horror, drawing stylistic influences from classic genre films like The Fly. The story follows Matt Hagen, a rising Hollywood star whose life descends into a nightmare of transformation and loss of identity following a horrific accident.

The production is part of the new DC Universe being developed by James Gunn and Peter Safran. The cast includes Naomi Ackie, Max Minghella, David Dencik, Eddie Marsan, and Nancy Carroll. The film will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.
