DCI rescues three Indian nationals in suspected human trafficking sting

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has rescued three Indian nationals who went missing after arriving at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. The victims were discovered being held incommunicado in a two-bedroom house in Ruiru, Kiambu County, following a sting operation by the DCI's Operations Support Unit.

Six suspects were arrested during the operation, including two Pakistani nationals, two Kenyans, and one Indian national. A Kenyan minor was also found at the premises. While investigators are treating the case as suspected human trafficking, the suspects claimed they were merely assisting the three individuals in traveling to Italy via Ethiopia.

The DCI is currently investigating potential links to a larger human trafficking network and is processing the suspects for court arraignment.
