DCMP football club has FIFA sanctions lifted
FIFA has lifted the sanctions against the Kinshasa-based football club Daring Club Motema Pembe (DCMP), allowing the team to register new players. The decision, communicated on August 13, follows the confirmed settlement of debts owed to the club’s former coach, Otis Ngoma.
Despite this administrative relief, the club faces ongoing internal governance challenges. There is significant tension between the current president of the coordination committee, Paul Kasembele, and various administrators and co-founders. Supporters have called for sincere dialogue and reconciliation between Kasembele and the club’s founding members to ensure long-term institutional stability.
