Dcoop bids 460 million euros to acquire Deoleo

Dcoop president Antonio Luque has described the cooperative's bid for Deoleo as ‘more than reasonable’ for the company. The Spanish cooperative is among three entities competing to acquire the investment-fund-owned multinational olive oil company, with other bidders including Acesury and the Italian firm Coricelli.

Dcoop’s offer is approximately 460 million euros. Luque emphasized the importance of Deoleo remaining under Spanish influence to protect the quality of olive oil and the interests of Spanish farmers. He has called upon the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture and the Government of Spain to monitor the process to ensure the interests of the national olive oil sector are not compromised.

Coricelli has reportedly submitted a proposal of around 500 million euros, though the specific timelines for the sale of Deoleo have not yet been finalized.
